This painting is a larger version of a painting that I had done many years ago. When I first started painting larger format pieces, I knew this design was one that I wanted to do at this scale. The ability to see more of watercolor’s textures and layers at this scale makes this piece really fun to look at. I specifically chose this color palette to emulate the feeling of looking into the swirls of ocean depths… calming but also full of mysteries.

- Original paintings ship free within the US. If you are located outside of the US and are interested in purchasing an original painting, please email me (orders@carriechan.com) and I can provide a custom shipping quote depending on where you are located.

- Please remember that each original artwork is painted by hand, and although I do paint in a very precise, technical style, I like to leave any “imperfections” in the painting as it’s a reminder to myself and to you that these are all hand-painted! “Imperfections” may include tiny paint splatters, painting slightly “outside the lines”, paper surface imperfections, etc. and are all captured as best as I can in photos in each product listing. By purchasing any original artwork, you are acknowledging these “imperfections” and are agreeing to love them as much as I do :)
- While I make every effort to represent the artwork digitally as close to the original as possible, please allow for slight color variance due to the differences in computer monitors.
